The Golden Silt of Brahmaputra: Plucking Orthodox Leaves Before Sunrise
The Brahmaputra River carries millions of tonnes of mineral silt down from the Tibetan plateau every monsoon, depositing rich fertile mud along its banks. In this ancient riverbed soil, the Camellia sinensis var. assamica thrives like nowhere else on Earth.
Plucking begins at 4:30 AM, before the tropical sun strikes the bushes. Only the tender apical bud and the two youngest leaves are harvested by hand. Hand-rolled on granite tables to bruise the cells without tearing the delicate golden hairs, the tea develops profound natural malt and stone-fruit notes.
Brewed in an earthenware pot, it delivers the quintessential warmth of Assam: rich barley malt, dark honeycomb, and a long, velvety finish.

βOur tea trees are never sheared or chemically stimulated. We listen to the rhythm of the Kaziranga forest, withering leaves by the warmth of natural bamboo fires.β
